Krea AI Review: A Wide Model Catalog, and a Pricing Tier That May Not Exist Anymore
Krea aggregates 60+ models and ships its own foundation model, Krea 2. Its official pricing page shows no $9/mo tier, despite several sites still quoting one.
Krea started as a real-time AI canvas built for fast iteration and now aggregates 60+ third-party models, image and video, while also shipping its own foundation model, Krea 2, released in May 2026 and open-weighted. That makes it, like LTX Studio, both a model maker and an aggregator rather than purely one or the other.
What it costs, and one number that does not match
Confirmed directly from Krea's own pricing page:

Several comparison sites describe a $9/mo "Basic" tier sitting between Free and Pro. We could not find that tier on Krea's live pricing page as of this writing. Either those sources are stale or Krea discontinued it; we are not asserting either explanation as fact, just flagging that the tier you may have read about elsewhere does not currently appear to exist.

What we found when we looked past the pricing page
Krea's Trustpilot rating runs notably lower than the other platforms we cover, around 2.7 out of 5 across roughly 80 reviews, with the majority negative. The recurring complaints: unresponsive support with no live chat option, unexpected auto-renewal charges, and a specific, repeated allegation that a previously advertised free-tier feature was quietly removed without notice. That last one is a trust complaint rather than a quality complaint, and it is specific enough across multiple reviews that we would want it resolved before recommending the platform without reservation.
What we have not tested ourselves
We have not run our own benchmark battery through Krea 2 or through Krea's third-party model access. Model scores published elsewhere on this site were measured through Magnific.
Should you use it
The model catalog is genuinely one of the widest we have seen, and shipping an open-weighted foundation model on top of that aggregation is a real technical achievement. The support and billing complaints are specific and repeated enough that we would use the free tier thoroughly before committing to a paid plan, and would read the cancellation terms closely first.
