Krea retires its Kling models and sunsets their API endpoints on September 15
The same changelog entry adds Elements to Seedance Studio, GPT Image 2.5 models, MiniMax H3 Max Turbo at native 1080p, and postpaid invoicing.
Krea has pulled its Kling models and put a hard date on the removal: the changelog states that their API endpoints were deprecated and sunset on September 15, 2026. That is the third catalog removal the platform has documented in under three weeks, and the pattern matters more than any single model, because Krea sells access to other labs' models rather than its own video stack alone.
Four additions shipped in the same entry as the retirement
The changelog groups the Kling retirements with a set of additions rather than filing them separately. Those additions are Elements in Seedance Studio, GPT Image 2.5 models, MiniMax H3 Max Turbo with native 1080p output, and postpaid invoicing. Bundling a removal into a feature announcement is common practice across model resellers, and it is the reason deprecation dates tend to get missed by teams who only skim release notes for new capabilities.
Elements bundles eight reference images under a single tag
The headline addition is Elements, which lets a user save a character, location or object once and reuse it across generations. An element bundles up to eight reference images together with written guidelines under one @tag. Elements are created from the References panel in Seedance Studio in Video mode, and typing @ in a prompt attaches one, carrying all of its images and guidelines along with the prompt. Editing an element updates it everywhere it is already attached.
This is a consistency feature, and consistency is the axis that public leaderboards handle worst. Reference counts are becoming a spec line in their own right, with Seedance 2.5 marketed on accepting large numbers of reference inputs, and Krea's implementation caps a single element at eight images plus text. None of that is directly comparable across platforms, because nobody publishes how reference adherence is measured.
Three removals since late August, each with a stated date
The Kling sunset follows two others. Veo 2 and Veo 3 were sunset as of August 28, 2026. The Reve image models stopped working on August 31, 2026 and no longer appear in Krea's image tools, though existing Reve generations remain in user libraries and no API changes were needed because Reve was never part of the public API. On the pricing side, the 50 percent launch discount on MiniMax H3 Max ended on September 1 as scheduled, with API generations moving to list rates. Alibaba's Wan 3.0 was added to the Video tool and the API over the same period.
Set against that, the September 15 Kling sunset is the one with real migration cost, since it removes routes that production code may already depend on. Krea at least publishes the dates, which is more than several competing aggregators do.
Retired routes break published comparisons, not just pipelines
Every time a hosted route disappears, any benchmark result measured through it becomes impossible to reproduce on that platform. A score attributed to Kling 3.0 or to MiniMax H3 is a score for one provider's implementation at one moment, at one resolution tier, under one pricing regime, and all four of those variables moved on Krea inside a single month. Anyone maintaining a leaderboard that mixes first-party APIs with reseller routes should be recording which route produced each sample, because the model name alone stops identifying the thing that was tested roughly as fast as changelogs ship.
